This Men Only Ate Meat for a Year, You Will be Shocked with The Result

Meat is one of the foods that should consume by humans, as it provides a variety of essential nutrients and high protein. Although many people are now decided not to consume it. The reason is because red meat is a lot of various diseases causing harm, such as cancer and heart attacks. But, there are some important nutrients that your body needs and only in the meat.

In 1928, there were two people chose to eat red meat only. Vilhjalmur Stefansson and his friend K. Andersen ate only meat for a whole year, but of course they did it under the supervision of two researchers, McClellan and Du Bois. The research was then published in a paper in 1930, about this experiment.

Eating meat is very simple, where the purpose is to know the effect on the body. Throughout the experiment, there will be several parameters to be measured. In this experiment, meat is defined as something that comes from any animal body, including: Fat, brain, muscle, and bone marrow.

Andersen and Stefansson can ate as much or as little as they want. Both of them in a good health before going on a meat diet.

What Happens After the Trial?

The general effect for those men who ate red meat for a year were did not exist. They were still in good condition, physically upon completion. Their teeth did not get worse, The defecate remained the same, and they also did not have gingivitis.

However, both of them were experienced weight loss during the first week, mainly because their bodies are still adjusting to new routines.

Is it bad to eat meat every day?
 


According to the post that published the results of the experiment, there were actually no negative side effects to eating meat every day. Both subjects were still healthy after they complete all of their duties. However, in today's world, it is not easy to conclude. Most meat is currently experiencing an unhealthy process for the body. 

There is research showing that, people who eat too much meat can develop the following health conditions:
  1. Cancer

    Eating red meat for daily increases the risk of getting cancer at least 20 percent, especially pancreatic cancer. 
  2. Heart Disease

    Red meat also has high cholesterol and saturated fats, which is one of the biggest contributors in the development of heart disease.
Many children - even adults - love to eat hot dogs. It is also meat, but it is processed and comes with preservatives, including nitrates, which can be carcinogenic when cooked in high heat.

So, if the meat consumed by the processed products - sausages, nuggets, or corned beef - then it is not good. Similarly, the portion when eating meat, not to excessive.
