Sleep has a major role in our overall health. Most of people sleep 5-8 hours a night, and spends more than 25 years to sleeping. This shows how important sleep is for humans. However, according to a new study, not only sleep duration is important, but our sleeping position is also very important. Did you know that sleeping position can affect our health?

Proper sleeping position can affect our blood pressure and can overcome various health problems, such as sinus and back pain. Here are five sleeping positions that can alleviate various health problems and pain that you suffer.

  1. Back pain

    According to WebMD, back pain can be overcome by putting a towel roll under the back curve and pillow under your knee.
  2. Neck pain

    To relieve neck pain, all you have to do is put a towel roll under the neck.
  3. Headaches

    Sleeping position can relieve or aggravate headaches. Experts believe that headaches occur because the neck is bent while sleeping. So, to prevent it, you should sleep with your head around with your pillow like in the picture. 
  4. Sinus infection

    In the case of a sinus infection, you should sleep with a rather high head to prevent the mucus from leaking into the sinus and causing further problems.
